Welcome to ODBD's April Release!!

Hi Everyone!!  We have another amazing ODBD Release to share with you.  My goodness is this ever a fun release - and just perfect for Spring!   There are four new stamp sets, one background stamp, and three custom die sets.  I hope if you're hopping along with us that you're enjoying all the beautiful creations by the ODBD DT.  They're creativity is such an inspiration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Anniversary celebration, and thank you too for all your kind comments.  It's a wonderful thing to share ODBD with everyone, and to know their scripture, quotes and sentiment stamps and messages touch so many people!!!

On to my projects.  My first card features the new April Showers Stamp set, along with the Custom Umbrellas and Custom Clouds and Raindrops Die sets.  I also used ODBD's fab Shabby Rose Collection Papers, their Fun and Fancy Side-Step card base and several other favorite ODBD dies.  I started by adding the rose papers to the card base, and then die-cutting the clouds, umbrella, and sentiment elements.

Next I went to work die-cutting all the grass and little flowers.  I used the new Grass Border die along with the Fancy Foliage leafy stem and some little flowers from the Cross and Poinsettia custom die sets,  Next I glued/popped the clouds and sentiment panel, glued all the grasses, leaves and flowers, added the Umbrella and then moved on to the final touches - the little raindrops and flower centers.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

My next card features the same new stamps and dies, along with some other favorite papers and dies. To make this I started with ODBD's Fun and Fancy Center Step card base and used some scraps from one of my favorite papers - the Rose Collection papers.  I created a collage of various scraps and glued those papers down onto the card base.

Next I die-cut the Clouds, Umbrella and Fancy Foliage flourishes and leaves.  I used the Partial Die Cutting technique to make the two-sided sentiment banner, and the Beautiful Borders die to create the little corner elements on the sides.

Final steps were arranging and gluing all the elements.  I loved working with these wonderful little paper flowers!!  Here's a final view:

You make me HAPPY :)!

What a truly delightful and enchanting Spring scene; the gloss on the raindrops is perfect. I'm coming to the end of a hoarded supply of raindrop gems and am looking for a suitable die or punch for future use - great to see this.
