ODBD December New Release!!

Hi Everyone - Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  Fall is my favorite season, and Thanksgiving is one of my favorite Holidays because it brings all the family together.  This year there were 30 at the main table - and it was a special time!!  I'm grateful to be a part of this family and I'm grateful for the time we have together at Thanksgiving.  I'm grateful also to all my friends - and all my blogging and stamping friends as well, for your love and inspiration!!!  Thank you :)!

Today is ODBD's December Release day, and I'm happy to share a couple of cards featuring the new Ornate Borders Sentiments stamp set.  My first card also features the ODBD Faith butterflies stamp and die sets.  I started by embossed the card base, then die-cutting the rectangles and sponging the inner layer with Baked Brown Sugar. Then I die cut the Fancy Foliage, stamped and die-cut the sentiment layer, and stamped the butterflies twice.

All things are possible with God

The butterflies were die-cut, then fussy cut to separate them complete from the branches.  They were mounted one over the other and dotted down the center with Gold Liquid Pearls.  At that point everything was ready for mounting - this was the challenge...  To get all these 'moving' parts to sit on the rectangle frame and Popped on top of the card base - without the foam dots showing!!

And thankfully it worked out!!  The butterfly poised so perfectly beside the sentiment is actually sitting on a little leaf which is part of the Fancy Foliage - with nothing under it.  It's just floating in place :)!!

Below is a close-up that shows the sentiment, the little flowers and pearls, and the 'floating' butterfly.

All things are possible - Close-up

This next card features the same sentiment set in a completely different design.  This one started with the die-cut square and die-cut flowers.  I used several different stylus tools to mold/bend the flowers into position, then cut and added petals in different areas for more dimension.  I sponged the layers, crimped the leaves on these as well.  The sentiment layer is also sponged and has an added pearl detail and lots of glitter!!  And just for fun I also crimped a background layer for added dimension and texture.

Audry, I second Grace's sentiments. The crisp white background on your second card with the elaborate die cut makes the colors pop! I love how you accented your sentiment on the first card with the butterfly branch, & added the extra little touch of embellishment with the liquid gold pearls.
