ODBD April Release Blog Hop!!

Hi stamping friends - I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Easter.  It was a quiet one for us this year, and we enjoyed the time together very much!!  Welcome to the ODBD April Release Blog Hop.  My card today was made using the ODBD Morning Glory set.  Hope you enjoy your visit and have lots of fun with our April Hop!!

If you've arrived here by way of Lori's sweet and amazing Blog Papercrafts by Saints Rule! - then you are in the right place.  If not, you can always start at the ODBD Blog and hop from the very beginning.

Here are today's Hop details:
  • Hop will run from 8:00am April 1st to 8:00pm April 2nd EDT
  • Winners to be announced April 3rd
  • There will be FOUR PRIZEZ of $10, $20, $30 and $40 for a Gift Certificate toward Stamps.
  • Gift Certificates must be redeemed within the month of April.
  • To quality to win, simply hop to each designer's Blog, leave a comment, then return to tell us you completed the hop.  We'd love to hear your feedback and/or if there were any problems along the way.  Easy peasy :)!!
Now, on to my project.  To make this card I stamped the Morning Glory Collage image twice - once for the main image panel and again for the popped up postcard image and additional popped flowers.  I colored the flowers, leaves and background using Copic markers, die-cut the main panel and fussy-cut  the Postcard.  I added a Wisteria layer behind the postcard and distressed both of those layers.

Morning Glory Front View

Then I die cut two Labels 26 panels - the top panel was stamped in ODBD Gingham Background then trimmed and embossed, then matted over the second.  At that point I die cut the greenery, stamped it in the same Gingham background, and started assembling everything.

Below is a close-up of the postcard and sentiment I used.  After coloring all the flowers I dotted the centers with white gel-pen to make the pop a bit more.  I also covered the stamp with Glassy Glaze to make it shiny.

Morning Glory - Close-up

Each layer is popped on dimensionals - here's another view which shows some of that in more detail.

Morning Glory - Alternate View

Below are pictures of the ODBD Stamp Sets that I used in this project:

I hope you like what you've seen during your Hop so far.  There is only one more stop, then you'll head back to the ODBD blog after that, for your final comments.

Now I'll send you to the wonderful and talented Connie!!

Just beautiful, Audrey Ann! Love all your texture & layering, & your color combo. The colors really pop! Like how you popped the postcard up for an additional layer, & love your coloring on the morning glories. I never would have thought to stamp green gingham to make the leafy vine die cut embellishment. Great job.
